I think this movie is about an adventure of a lonely, troubled heart, seeking to be free.

SCANDAL - “The Most Powerful Japanese Girlie Pop Rock Band”
 | Japanese schoolgirls playing rock music – cool stuff! With Scandal, I appreciate beauty, fashion and music at the same time. They are a huge fan of Bleach (same as me), and they did an opening song for the anime. The band is composed of four high school girls from Osaka, Japan: Haruna Ono, Tomomi Ogawa, Mami Sasazaki, and Rina Suzuki. My favorite member is Mami! I like how she rocks with her guitar… I’m super inspired to practice more and play as good as she does. |

Histrionics by Popsicle
Am I lucky or just too persistent to find this song again? I sooooo like Histrionics by Popsicle, taken from their 1995 Album, Abstinence.
Popsicle was a Swedish indie pop group active during the 90’s. For a while they were one of the most popular groups in Sweden and in 1995 they had a big hit with the song Not Forever. Popsicle split up 1999 but reunited in 2005 for a gig at a record store in Stockholm and a final concert at a bigger venue. -Last FM
Now I’m just going to have to shut up and let the song tell you a story. Enjoy listening, enjoy reminiscing the 90’s.
P.S. I’m not too old to care for this one.

iLike: Lenka
I must admit, I’ve shut myself away from music for a couple of years because I concentrated much on painting, taking photos and of course, work. Geez…now I feel like I’m the last person to know about Lenka’s music. But at least I’m not too late, right?.. After hearing her song The Show, I searched other songs by Lenka and I found myself loving them all! Trouble is a Friend and Skipalong are also my personal favorites.
What I like most about Lenka is her brilliant mix of music and art. Her album cover and all the illustrations associated to her are eye-candy material. It’s some sort of naïve-art, vintage craft style -thanks to her creative partner James Gulliver Hancock! I think of evolving into this kind of genre, soon. It’s inspirational. Oh Oh.

It’s one cute movie that’s heart-touching! :)
In this crazy world of vanity where physical attraction is the main ingredient to gain admiration (or even LOVE), we sometimes lose ourselves just to “fit in”; to be accepted by everybody.
The movie captures the kind of comedy we see on Manga, cartoon-like and entertaining. :)

Takuro (Muga Tsukaji) - the main character, has a golden heart yet many people (those who do not know him personally) quickly judge him just because he looks ugly. They accuse him of being malicious and perverted. Even children laugh at him. His friends call him “Butaro” – where buta is japanese for pig, and taro, from his name Takuro.

Hiroko (Keiko Kitagawaa) - Takuro’s love interest. Well…who wouldn’t fall in love with her?

Annin (Shosuke Tanihara), Takuro’s transformed body, is amazingly handsome! ♥
As viewpoints varies from one to another, the standard for handsome varies too but Shosuke Tanihara was able to turn in a convincing charming performance as the guy that has women swooning all over and yet retain that fumbling mannerism of a fat ugly desperate guy.
The movie is funny throughout in depicting Takuro’s adventures and experiences. You’ll find yourself laughing at his awkward transformation into a hunk and his bid to lead both lives.
In the end, he had to choose between the 2 physical bodies.. which one to keep, and which one to throw away? If you were Takuro, who would you choose?
Would you discard everything to pursue superficial perfection?
Is what is on the outside what ultimately counts?
